Well, true believers, we recorded episode 12 on Saturday August 9th. Once the recording was finished, I placed the file into my trusty editor and found that every time my mic was open there was a horrible low end hum that over time became truly painful to the listener. No amount of filtering would make it go away or even bearable over the course of an hour long show.

Now, I know there are podcasts that will apologized for their sound quality, release the episode and fix it for next week, but Steve and I believe that quality matters. I know what the problem was and I have purchased the necessary replacement equipment today. I have done a test recording with the new equipment and the hum is gone.

I apologize to our listeners for the delay, but I believe, and Steve agrees, that anything worth doing is worth doing right, and you, our loyal fans, deserve nothing less.

  1. First, always start with a fresh three stacks of defend. This I knew but what I didnt know is that defend is on a timer. So if its not refreshed properly you can lose all three stacks at once, no matter what your opponent is doing. So whenever the CD is up on it, refresh it. ALWAYS start the match from behind your opponent. As your opponent walks away from you, spam charge until it goes off. After your charge, start spamming melee ( #1 ) until your opponent breaks off and tries to get distance on you. STAY WHERE YOU ARE and spam charge until you get it. The second they are at distance, you will charge and they will not.
  2. NEVER try to get distance from your opponent, ALWAYS let them be the one to move away.
  3. After a charge, ALWAYS turn your self so you moving back into the center of the ring ( this keeps your opponent from running outside of the ring and bugging )
  4. Also, during that turn if you can get off a single shield breaker, give it a shot.
  5. Rinse repeat
